In Loving Memory of William "Bill" Good
Shoreline, WA – William "Bill" Good, age 73, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and his faithful dog, Fuego.
Born on October 19, 1952, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Bill moved as a young boy with his family to Phoenix, Arizona, where he was raised. Growing up in the desert southwest shaped his love of nature, strong work ethic, and deep appreciation for family and lifelong friendships.
Bill possessed an adventurous spirit and built a diverse work background throughout his life. His early journeys took him to Colorado, where he worked in a mine. Looking for new horizons, he later joined his friend, Paul, for an adventure in Alaska. Working near Denali National Park sparked a profound, lifelong love for the Alaskan wilderness.
That love for the North led to a long, distinguished career in the Alaska seafood and fishing industry. Bill started out working as a commercial fisherman before transitioning to management positions. He became the Quality Assurance Manager for Arctic Alaska Fisheries, splitting his time between Alaska and the Seattle office. It was during this chapter of his life that he met his beloved wife, Anne. Bill later served as a Quality Assurance Manager and Director for various seafood import companies before his well-earned retirement.
In retirement, Bill developed a deep passion for dog training. He dedicated his time to training his dog, Fuego, in the sport of IGP. He was a longtime member of the Cascade Schutzhund Club and later the Rose City Working Dog Club, where he met and developed deep, lifelong friendships.
Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Bill had a unique ability to make anyone feel welcome in his presence.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anne; his faithful dog, Fuego, and young Kaiya; his brother, Alan Good; his sister, Nancy Good; his in-laws in the Manning family; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Good, and his brother, Kerry Good.
A Memorial Service and celebration of Bill's life will take place at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Calvin Presbyterian Church, located at 18826 3rd Ave NW, Shoreline, WA 98177.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the general hospice fund at Evergreen Health Foundation, 12040 NE 128th St, MS 5, Kirkland, WA 98034.
