Rita Joanne Hollomon was born on September 14, 1952, in Wenatchee, Washington, to Samuel and Marjorie Wheatcroft. She passed away on May 31, 2025, after a recurrence of cancer. Surrounded by the love of her family, she leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of warmth and generosity.

In 1986, Rita married her beloved husband, John Hollomon. Together, they built a full and meaningful life in Seatac, Washington, raising their two children. They celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary in 2024 with a memorable cruise through Mexico, adding another trip to their shared adventures.

Rita dedicated more than 30 years to serving her community, working in various city departments along the way. She started at the library, then moved on to the Police Department, followed by City Light, before finally finding her home in Parks and Recreation, both in the Contracts and Accounts Payable departments. No matter the role, she brought dedication, warmth, and a strong work ethic, leaving an impression on everyone she worked with. After retiring in 2015, she embraced a life filled with family, friendships, and simple joys. She enjoyed tending to her garden, traveling, making jam with her sisters, and most of all, spending time with her grandson, Desmond, who added to her joy.

She is survived by her husband, John; her son, Wesley, daughter-in-law, Andrea Ladines and grandson, Desmond; her daughter, Angela, and son-in-law, Joseph Gregory; She also leaves behind her brother, Arnold Wheatcroft; her sisters, Estelle Figley, Linda Dowell, and Sharon Jackson; as well as a large and loving extended family of nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie and Samuel Wheatcroft; her brothers, Randy and Samuel Wheatcroft; and her sister, Diana Norman.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family will be treasured always.

Rita will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
