Mary Alice Tully Elias

Mary Alice Tully Elias (1948 to 2025) died peacefully at home among family and friends on May 11th (Mother's Day). She died as a result of her long battle with breast cancer and her post-polio syndrome. She was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1948 and still maintains strong bonds with the area.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harold and her devoted son, Colin. Also survived by her brothers Jay, Bill (Maureen), Jimmy (Donna), Gary (Therese'), Tommy and sisters Patty (Roy) and Nancy (Angelo). Survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their beautiful offspring.

On her husband's side, she is survived by sister-in-law Barbara, Earl (Marilyn), Joe (Melania), Ione (John). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

She was preceded in death by (mother) Alice Glinane Tully, (father) John Francis Tully, (sisters-in-law) Maureen Whalen Tully and Kelly Klemm Tully. Also preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles on the Tully side.

She was also preceded in death by (mother-in-law) Alice Kosmatka Elias, (father-in-law) John Peter Elias and (brother-in-law) John Paul Elias, AKA Jack.

A funeral mass will be said at 11:00 at St. Benedict RC Church (address is 1805 N 49th ST) on May 31st, with a viewing of the open casket starting at 10:00. Cremation will follow and interment at Holyrood Cemetery at a later date. Family will attend a memorial luncheon on Saturday afternoon.

There will be a memorial mass said at St. Thomas More RC Church in Breezy Point, New York on June 27th.

She escaped these earthly bonds loving her family, her countless friends, her books, Jameson's Irish whiskey and her God, and too many other things too numerous too mention in this short space.
