Linda Jang-Narancic

September 28, 1949 — May 24, 2026

Linda Jang-Narancic was born in Seattle on Sep 28, 1949, to Lowman Soo Jang and Nancy Jean (Chinn) Jang. She passed away on May 24, 2026, at age 76 in Edmonds, Washington, after a long illness.

Linda graduated from Franklin High School in 1967. She loved to travel, and her first trip after high school was to Taiwan with her lovely sister, Diana. At 19, Linda traveled with two of her girlfriends to France, England, Greece, Italy, Germany, and Australia.

Linda's first job was working at her grandma's restaurant, called Mars Chinese Restaurant in the Sandpoint area of Seattle. That job lasted one day. Too tough on her nails! Her next job was working for Danny Louis Designs, a well-known jewelry store at the time. He designed Linda's wedding ring.

Linda started working at Boeing’s Travel Agency in March of 1972. She retired 35 years later in July of 2007 from Boeing's Interior Design of Airplanes Department. She received many awards during her work career at Boeing.

Linda kept close to her high school girlfriends and oftentimes met with them to catch up. She always had her nails done and was adamant they be perfect. She was not athletic and never learned how to ride a bike, nor did she like the outdoors, but she loved a nice glass of wine.

Her hobbies were volunteering for Big Sisters, where she mentored young girls. Linda was defined by her generosity with her time and money, trying to give people a hand up in life. She was always trying to help people succeed in life. She donated a lot of her suits and clothes to an organization called Dress for Success.

Her favorite things to do were cooking, reading murder mysteries, shopping, and traveling. Her beautiful hair and nails were always meticulous. Her favorite spot was the Condo in Oro Valley, AZ, where she and Jerome spent six months out of the year. What defined Linda was her love for all the different cultures and families that make this Country one Great Nation.

Linda met her future husband, Jerome Narancic, on May 18, 1980, the day Mount St. Helens erupted. She married the love of her life on June 9, 1984.

Linda is survived by Jerome, her loving husband of 42 years, her sister, Diana “DJ” Jang-Brooks, and five nieces: Marissa Brooks-Hauck (Husband Josh and 2 kids); Alexis Brooks-Polebitski (Husband Coburn and 3 kids); Whitney Brooks-Steele (Husband Josh ); Bianca Brooks-Chapman (Husband Kaylan); and Armani Brooks-Ralkowski (Husband Matt and 2 kids). Linda also has many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, on the Narancic side of the family: Victoria Narancic-Swenson, Kathleen (Fred) Harris, George (Ruth) Narancic, Vincent, Anthony, and Paul (Janelle) Narancic. Nephews: George (Andrea), Christopher, Westin, and Fred (Jen) Narancic; Timothy, Mark (Alexandra), and Anthony Swenson; Alex and Jimi Hendrix. Nieces: Amy Narancic-Bigelow, Leena Narancic, Alycia (Bob Edmond), Sheila (Jesse Roark), Jennifer (Ty Milne), Chandra Green, Tina and LeAnn Hendrix, and Jonnelle Hendrix-Vengadasalam (Dhavan).

Special thanks and appreciation to Linda’s Caregiver, Anca Godri, for providing respite care for the last five years of Linda’s life.
