Laurențiu Dusciuc was born in Botoșani, Romania on 14 January, 1980. He was a cyclist, a forager, an adventurer, a loving husband, a caring brother, and a conscientious transportation engineer. He designed many of the bike lanes and pedestrian infrastructure throughout Seattle and the Bay Area including the bike lane at Green lake, Melrose Ave in Capitol Hill, the Thomas street Promenade which includes Seattle's first protected intersection, and the bike lanes on the Facebook and Google campuses in the Bay Area. He always knew where he was going and always had a cheese board ready and foraged mushrooms to share. He died in Sancoins, France on 6 June, 2025, pursuing his dream to ride across Europe and the US, visiting all his siblings along the way. His memory will be cherished forever.
