Jerome Joseph Goedde

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Jerome J. Goedde, loving husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away June 4, 2026. Born in Elgin, Nebraska to Joe and Mary Goedde in 1933, the family moved to Chelan where Jerry grew up with his three brothers. He graduated Chelan High School in 1951, and earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University in 1955. Upon graduating, he served in the Air Force and studied meteorology at the University of Washington. He worked for Boeing for over 30 years in both the commercial and aerospace divisions before retiring to enjoy life with his loving wife Carol, who preceded him in death in 2017. He loved spending time with his family, especially on his boat exploring Puget Sound and fishing, and enjoyed working on his cars. He was also an avid fan of both the Seahawks and Mariners. Jerry is survived by two of his three brothers, Ken and Leo (Jim passed earlier this year); his three children, Mary, Steve and Dave, and his grandchildren Ian, Cecilia, Isabel, and Ayla. A memorial will be held at St. Madeleine Sophie church in Bellevue, WA on Thursday, August 27th at 11:00 am.
