Edmonds

Born in Seattle, WA on September 25, 1935, to Charles Stearns and Loraine Dahline, Gerri passed away peacefully in her home of 64 years in Edmonds, WA on November 3, 2024.

Gerri is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lycke, Sr. (2014), daughter-in-law, Emily Lycke (2007), and son-in-law, Bob Carter (2017). She leaves behind her two sons, Chuck and Bob, and daughter, Peggy, along with five grandchildren – Hayden (Cassie), Piper (Ben), Jordan (Elizabeth), Avery, and Ashley; along with four great-grandchildren.

Gerri attended Ballard High School where she met her husband, Robert, and they were married from 1955 until his death in 2014. Gerri worked throughout Seattle at many different events including the Seattle Pilots, Supersonics, Totems, Sounders, as well as UW Husky football and basketball games, plus many other sporting events and concerts. Gerri also worked in the Seafirst Bank Building for thirty years – working her way from the bottom floor (Mel’s) to the top of the building in the Mirabeau Room.

Gerri’s passions included her involvement in the Shriners (LOSNA) Ladies Groups, her monthly Wednesday Bridge game with a group of friends that have played together for over 60 years, as well as cheering on her favorite Seattle sports teams. The Mariners, Seahawks and Huskies were always on the TV and Gerri never missed a game.
