David William Pavlick age 75, of Burien, WA, passed away on November 26, 2025.
David was born on October 12, 1950 to William Pavlick and Helen Nelson, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Debbie (Fritz), his nieces, Evan (Ryan), Kyle (Leon) and their children (Noelle, Charlotte, Blake), who brought him endless joy. He also leaves behind his cherished circle of cousins (Corki, John, Paul, Clare, Jim, Pam, Susanne, Dennis(deceased)), extended family and devoted friends who he considered family.
David had a great appreciation for art, music and travel. He filled his life with rich friendships, philanthropy and adventure. He completed his undergraduate studies at Washington State University, and obtained a law degree from the University of Washington School of Law. David spent almost 21 years leading the Bailey-Boushay House Volunteer Program in Seattle, where his impact was profound.
If he was not traveling one of his expertly curated itineraries, you would likely find him reading (the latest novel, or a classic Calvin and Hobbes comic strip), listening to his vast library of music (David had a great appreciation for Joni Mitchell), spending time in his garden, baking, or enjoying a cup of English tea. He will be missed greatly and remembered for his generous spirit, keen sense of humor and boisterous laugh.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the Orchid Room at Palisade Restaurant Seattle, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance. In lieu of flowers, consider a contribution in David’s name to Mary’s Place, Northwest Harvest or OxFam.
