August 4, 1956 — March 23, 2026

♡Beloved Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle♡

It is with mixed emotions we announce the passing of our David.

David passed from his mortal body on March 23rd due to complications of pancreatic cancer.

While we are sad he's left us...we are relieved he is finally FREE of his failing mortal body not only his figurative prison but his literal prison as well!! FREE AT LAST DAVID!!! BE FREE!!!! Be with your loved ones in heaven, where you believed in!!!!

While David embraced the Native American spiritual ways, due to honoring his Klamath Modoc blood, his strong roots & belief were in the Christian way and loved reading his bible!!

David's favorite passage in the Bible, Psalms 23.

David is survived by his loving family consisting of:

  • His beloved brother Jonathan: Jon's wife & David's sister-in-law, Teresa Ball.
  • David's loving & bossy big sister Wyona Ball Moody.

  • Multiple neices & nephews:
  • Starting with his 1st and favorite beloved neice, Joy Ball Moody Strand.
  • Nephew Ryan Moody, too much like himself.
  • 2nd Nephew Jeremy Ball & wife Christina Ball.
  • 2nd Neice Sarah Ball Johnson
  • 3rd Neice Rachael Ball

  • GREAT neices & nephews:Angela Moody/Ravyn Moody
  • Reba Strand
  • GREAT GREAT neice & nephews:
  • Capron Stewart/Matthew Ball/Anthony Rojas
  • Jordan LaFontaine/Anabelle LaFontaine
  • Ethan Ball/Seth Ball

  • These family members are all named and loved greatly by David, always in his prayers and birthday wishes!!

  • Proceeded David, immediate family members:
  • David's father Capron Lyle Ball
  • Mother, Wanda Lee Ball
  • Younger brother Aaron Lee Ball
  • Beloved Granpa Oliver Messinger
  • And Granma Winnie Messinger, his amazing Aunt GG.
  • Multiple Aunts & Uncles on the Johnson, and Ball/Hood side.

  • Special mention of several very close friends and supporters of David, was Juanita DeVoe and Trent Hendren.

  • David found solice in reading the Bible.

  • Over the years he also found spiritual awareness in his Native American heritage being a Klamath Modoc enrolled Tribal member. Being educated in the Native ways, attended many institutional held Pow Wows and sweat lodges.

  • While being under DOC supervision, David accomplished various life achievements.
  • Was in the JobCorp, earned multiple certifications, Received his GED, Drivers license, Union Carpentry, Volunteer Fire Fighting.
  • Joined the US Military, Marine Corp. And was an accomplished Marksman.

  • His neice was asked what would you say best about David? 

"HE WAS LOVED!!!!"
