Alice Evelyn Riggins

Alice Evelyn Riggins was a homeowner in Renton for the past 40 years. She passed March 2026 at 79 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Barbara, and her younger brother Otis. She is survived by her older brother Dale Porter. She worked over 20 years for Farmers Insurance and retired from there. She did her job so well and she was so valued that they had her consult for a few months after her retirement. Evelyn was a retired military E7 Sergeant first class and enjoyed her time overseas in Germany, seeing Paris among many other sights before returning to the United States. She then continued her service in the Reserves. After Mt. St. Helen's blew, she took many weeklong (not just weekend) trips to surrounding areas for ash clean up duties. She would gather faithfully with a group of friends over the years for Sunday breakfast and a cocktail. She wanted no services, but if you feel the need to make a donation in her memory, donations to any cancer society would be her preference.
