Adrianna Marie Washington

Adrianna Marie Washington, a longtime Seattle area resident, passed away at her Shelton, WA, home on June, 22, 2026. She was born in Painesville, Ohio, to Kiyeara (Kaye) J. E. Pouewells and Derry Randolph Washington, Sr., on August 27, 1982. She would move to Tacoma as a young child and stay in the Seattle area through her passing.

Adrianna attended Kent Meridian High School and would graduate in 2000 from Rainier Beach High School. After graduating, she went on to complete courses at Seattle Central College. She also completed two years of full time AmeriCorps service at City Year Seattle/King County, where she volunteered alongside other 18-24 year olds in local schools tutoring and mentoring K-12 students. She would meet lifelong friends through this program.

After leaving City Year, she would continue to work in the service industries as a Corrections Supervisor, Sales Associate, and Dispatcher. She worked for local companies, such as Albert Lee, and global companies, such as Amazon.

Adrianna loved cars and would often go out driving when she needed time to think. She also loved singing, which is how she would meet Claudine. They would go on to have a 12 year relationship, in which time they would have their daughter Zoe. Adrianna loved nothing more than becoming a parent. She was in absolute awe of every milestone Zoe accomplished and every achievement she attained. To know Adrianna was to know her love for Zoe.

Adrianna is survived by her daughter Zoe Hernandez of Covington, WA, her ex-partner Claudine Hernandez of Covington, WA, her close friend Christina Arcidy, of Shoreline, WA, and her mother Kaye Sanford of Shackopee, MN. She was preceded in death by her father Derry Washington, Sr.
