Alice Hoff Cork

Born in Seattle April 4, 1903 and died peacefully on December 8, 2009. A widow of Navy Captain Richard M. Cork. Preceded in death by brother Magnus Hoff and sisters Mimi Gilbert, Aina Gwilym and Angeline Larsen.

She spent her early childhood at Lake Sammamish. She graduated from Broadway High School and the University of Washington. Alice was the secretary to the comptroller at the University of Washington for 15 years. A member of Delta Zeta Sorority and for many years active in the Alumni association.  A member of Navy Officers Wives organization and Garden Clubs at various locations including Hawaii, Alaska and Whidbey Island.

Survived by niece, Jacqueline Prescott, of Guemes Island; nephews, Herald and Edward Gwilym of Bellevue; Donald Gwilym, of Vashon; Stuart West, of Auburn; stepsons, Richard Cork, of Portland, Oregon and Gerald Cork, of California; and the grand nieces and nephews & great grand nieces and nephews.

Remembrances may be made to Bayview Manor Foundation or charity of choice. No service according to her wishes. Burial at Lakeview Cemetery.
